Designed by George Morgan, the Field Audio Unit is a portable rig supporting 6 wireless mics, 10 wireless ifbs, ISO records of all channels, wireless timecode distribution, dedicated wireless backhaul to camera, integrated antenna and power distribution. The system comprises of components from 5 major audio manufacturers - Sound Devices, Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Zaxcom, and Tram.

In addition, the system supports AES42, MS decoding, and Dugan Automixing. It is one of the most powerful and feature-rich location audio systems available.
