Some victims of the genocide are shown outside of Nyamata church in this photo. While many took refuge at the church, few if any were spared. Inside the clothes remain, with bullet holes and machete marks visible. Shrapnel holes are present in the roof as well. President Paul Kagame's rebel group, the Tutsi-led Rwandan Patriotic Front, stopped the genocide after 100 days, seized power, and has since ruled Rwanda unchallenged.
