The bronze statue of King Philip III is at the center of the Plaza Mayor. Note the brightly painted west tower of the Casa de la Panadería in the background. The building, completed in 1619, is a municipal and cultural center on the north side of the Plaza Mayor. It is four stories high, the ground floor comprising porticos and the top floor in the form of an attic, with its sides crowned by angular towers.
