This little girl is enjoying the 8-minute trip on the Maglev train. The service runs from Pudong Airport to Longshan Metro Station. The train is one of the fastest in commercial service, and uses magnetic levitation to reach speeds as high as 430kmh - about 270 miles an hour. At those kind of speeds, vehicles on the highway appear parked.

The top speed of the service alternates in roughly two hour blocks, running at a slower 300kmh for some trips and running at the usual 430kmh during other intervals.
