During the final battle of Monte Cassino, the Polish 4th Armoured Regiment advanced towards the monastery along the Cavendish road. This tank, belonging to Lt. Bialecki, was knocked out by mines near the Albaneta Farm on May 12th, 1944. There were no survivors.
